Please Share More Customized Reports for Dummies!!

Post by saravanalt »

Hi All,

I am a new user of this software, since last year. I liked this software and especially the customized reports and moreover the active forum.   In fact, I had evaluated all the General Reports from various users and author of the software as well. Unfortunately, I have almost zero coding skills, hence being a "Dummy user" on this "General Reports Post page".

Even though, There were really a plenty of reports from smart and innovative users through past uploads,  being a dual currency user, only very few of these reports were directly usable for my requirement.  (I believe, if these past  reports could be troubleshooted to support Multiple Currency, would be usable by all, since the major attraction of this software being the Multi currency support).

Would be a great help for users like me, if more new reports & updated reports can be uploaded to the forum, since I don't see many new reports are being shared recently, except the updates/corrections over the past uploaded reports.

Looking forward for more innovative reports from users and Developers as well. Thanks in advance.

The major idea of General Report Manager creation it was to bring more reports from smart uses to the project.
Now we have a pool of reports here: https://github.com/moneymanagerex/general-reports/releases
Last update was a year ago.
As far as I can see, nobody want to share reports or nobody use it.

It will be good when more of the community share reports. It's such a powerful feature.

I suggest to make restructorization forGET reports. All reports should be grouped by categories like:
Annual
Category based
Payee
Matrix (last 12 months ...)
Others
Assets
Shock
Etc

Now, since I'm not very familiar with SQL, I can't check the code and make customization (just find the category was a pain). Could you tell me if this report manages double currencies?
e.g.
I have this category which I operate with € and $.
if I have

Code: Select all

-€10
 -$5
+€20
What would be the result?

In case it doesn't manage the currency at the moment, is it possible to implement them?

Thank you!
