Can't import QIF from Money

Post by JillB »

Hi. I've just downloaded MMEX 1.2.7 and installed it on my Win10 (Home edition) as I was looking for an alternative to Money (2004). The installation went fine, and I have exported 2 QIF files from Money, one in each of the proposed formats. This is where the problems begin. Having created an account in MMEX, I try to import one of the QIF files, the importer goes through all of the 8502 items, but there is an error on each one and the result is an empty account in MMEX. I read through the manual and on each try I correct the date format to match that of Money, and I have tried to specify a date range but each try yields the same results. What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

I've opened the QIF file with Notepad++ and copied a few lines, pasting them below. I hope this helps! And thank you for looking into this. :)

Regards,
Jill

The file I posted before was, I believe, in ANSI, so I've used Notepad++ again to convert it to ISO-8. The strange characters are (I think) due to the fact that the text is written in French. I hope I've done this right!

I've succesfully imported the file provided.
Before I've created a new account 'Test' to import the data into it.
Then I've changed 'Test' account currency settings. Decimal char should be '.' and Grouping char should be ','.
