I am trying to migrate away from Microsoft Money.
I would like to understand how to migrate when I have multiple accounts that have transfers between them. It seems that I end up with the transfer transactions appearing twice. Is there a way to avoid this? I am using the QIF files exported by Microsoft Money.
I should also add that I have a second issue for which I have added a comment to a GitHub issue (ability to split transfer transaction).
These two problems are making it difficult for me to move off Microsoft Money.
Thanks
Rob

Re: Importing Multiple Accounts from Microsoft Money
I will have to make one up if you want a complete example, but if you can manage with a small extract, here is a sample:

Re: Importing Multiple Accounts from Microsoft Money
As you have already noticed, the import of such data is not possible because the transfer bookings cannot be split in MMEX.
There are some discussions about this on Github:
https://github.com/moneymanagerex/money ... ssues/1396
https://github.com/moneymanagerex/money ... ssues/6218
https://github.com/moneymanagerex/money ... ssues/2616
a solution is planned with version 2.0, see: https://github.com/moneymanagerex/money ... one%3Av2.0
I know you want the solution now, but unfortunately that's not possible.
If there are not many such entries, you could try splitting the entries in Microsoft Money.

Re: Importing Multiple Accounts from Microsoft Money
Do you have an idea when version 2 will be ready?
In the meantime, did you see the other part of my query? I guess I should have posted it separately, but it is about importing an "ordinary" transfer, when I import the two accounts I get duplicate transactions. Is there a way to import multiple accounts from Money when there are transfers between the accounts?
Thanks
Rob

Re: Importing Multiple Accounts from Microsoft Money
Ah I didn't spot the milestones page, thank you. Unfortunately, it doesn't give a date for when the milestone might be done, so I think my question about when you think it might be ready still stands. I am not asking for a specific date, or any kind of commitment, just a feeling for how long it might be. I am guessing it is a long way off though, given that there are three more milestones that precede it, which already takes us to September. I see the feature I am interested in has been requested since 2018, so I am not sure how much this feature is considered a priority anyway.
On the second part of my query about duplication of transfers I found https://github.com/moneymanagerex/money ... ssues/2610 issue. Is that what you are referring to? I am going to add a comment to that because I think there could be a problem with the solution suggested in the issue.
I am trying to get to the point where I can build MMEX myself at home to see if I can contribute to resolving any of these issues.

I forgot to add my comment to the issue about duplication of transfers, but I have added it now.
