Which Operating Systems are in use?

Hi,

does anybody know how often mmex is used with macos, win, linux?
I implemented a small reporting system based on mmex, but currently only for macos.

Is there a certain amount of macos users around? I'd like to invite them for testing my software and if they are happy with it,
I'd perhaps migrate it to win and linux.

Cheers

Hi, currently MacOS users are about 5%, Linux are 1,5% and rest are Windows users.

Regarding reporting, isn't General Report Manager sufficient? Have you tried it?

Yes, I tried it and its fine for special reports. My solution was meant to be a more generic data analysis system which doesn't require the user to write SQL ... and it was written before General Report Manager came up.

It was completely build by my own preferences and currently only deals with checking accounts, but of course can be enhanced with any other dimensions and facts. Migration to win or linux shouldn't be a big thing because it's build with node-webkit (which is able to generate apps for each of those systems).

Hi, seems you are familiar with JS/HTML/SQL and we have a built-in platform upon the program to develop customized reports like what you have done.
you can have a close look at https://github.com/moneymanagerex/general-reports

Hi, rather than being a customizable solution my system is a generic solution - an ad-hoc reporting system .... I'll try to compile it for windows and publish the download

It's a little pity that you still insist the approach to publish your app separately instead of w/ MMEX.
Good luck to you and feel free to switch to general report we are using and keep in touch.

General Report Manager is a completely different approach and cannot be used to implement an adhoc report system.

Agree that it's a completely different approach and it is designed to implement an adhoc reports. hence, i don't get your point here.
