I am trying to import transactions from a QIF file. Payees, categories and comments contain "special characters", such as the German "Umlaute" ("Ä", "ö", etc.)
It seems that the parser skips the rest of the string when it detects such a character.
My QIF files are saved in ANSI encoding. I tried to save the QIF file in UTF-8 and Unicode encoding as well, but that did not help either: then the parser cannot detect anything at all.
Is there a solution for importing QIF files with special characters and German "Umlaute" ("Ä", etc.)
Kind regards
Import from QIF with special characters

Re: Import from QIF with special characters
Please upgrade to v 1.3.3 or convert QIF file to UTF-8
Re: Import from QIF with special characters
I am using version 1.3.1 (DB v.7) on Windows 10 (desktop) - I can't find a 1.3.3 version on the download site
I tried saving the QIF file in UTF-8: that was not recognized by the importer
What else can I do?
