MMEX on Raspberry 4 with TwisterOS

Post by Renato »

I have found an interesting solution for MMEX on my Raspberry 4 (2Gb).

I have loaded on a fast SanDisk Extreme 32GB card TwisterOS Download: https://raspbian-x.com/
Information see:

I installed MMEX as described on: https://snapcraft.io/mmex with the following commands.
Unfortunately it is still version 1.3.3, the current version is 1.3.5

On a Raspberry Pi snap can be installed directly from the command line:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install snapd

Then restart the rasp with sudo reboot

now MMEX can be installed: sudo snap install mmex

The TwisterOS is built very similar for Windows users and in my opinion it could serve as a full PC together with a keyboard/mouse and a screen (even a newer TV would be sufficient).
by the way: MMEX runs very fast on the Raspi 4

This solution is very interesting and possibly progressive, but I have a few questions:

Have you had any problems or lags with MMEX on Raspi 4?
In your opinion, it will work on an older Raspberry Pi and how?

Thanks again for the life hack.

The Twister OS I use only runs on the Raspi 4 as far as I know.

MMEX runs very fast and without problems on the Raspi 4, maybe the speed varies depending on the memory card used.

by the way: don't forget to backup the data.

Have fun
