cannot open database

I am using Windows 10 64bit &MMEX has worked perfectly for 2 months, but today when I tried to open last used database it was greyed out.  trying to open existing database does nothing.  Trying to open using File History only comes up with do you want to remove MMEX..  Anyone got any ideas how to open my database, or will I have to start again (this will be a pain).

Try next steps to solve the issue:
1) Please check that DB file has read-write permissions and does not locked by anti-virus software.
2) Run mmex.exe as Administrator.

3)Try to create new DB, for example, named 'test.mmb'. Check if it workss OK.
Then delete test.mmb file and rename copy of your real DB file to  'test.mmb'.
Start mmex and report if it working or not.

Thanks for the reply.  I have managed to open a 2 month old unencrypted DB.  I have updated that & it seems to work OK.  I cannot find any back up copies of the encrypted DB.

I will copy this to my spare PC as well as to external HD.
