Hi
I am testing MMEX but have some problems. When importing my transactions from a csv file I would like to automatically create a type=transfer
I can do it manually by changing to type transfer and the payee will add a > sign to reflect that. I can not find a way to do this when importing my csv file though.
Is this possible and if so how should my csv file look like to include this?
Best regards
Joakim

Re: Import csv transfer
Hi,
I have this problem also.
I don't really understand the comment on viewing the file in something other than Excel. What difference will that make?
Am I correct in saying that MMEX doesn't import Transfers? I mean it will import one half in the account I'm importing to, but it won't create the other entry in the account transferred to / from?
I spent a long time creating a CSV file with the correct categories / subcategories / Account names for transfers, only to find that the Transfers don't update.
Am I missing something, or is it actually not possible? Are there any plans to make it work for Transfers? I have 30+ accounts, and Import will be pretty useless for me without transfers working.
From reading the forum, it appears Transfers don't work for .QIF file imports either. Can anyone please confirm?
As Spiffalizer says, I believe I may be able to make it work if it was possible to Import 'Transfer' to the 'Type' field, but it seems we're not able to Import 'Type'?
Thanks very much

Re: Import csv transfer
I am experiencing the same issue - I can't seem to find a way to import a transfer type transaction between two accounts. Doing an export and then an import will simply create a "withdrawal" type transfer with a payee named "> XXXXX". Is this not a supported feature?
