How to create annual categories report?

Hello,

I am trying to create an annual Categories Report for the year 2014. Not business year  (July to July) - Annual Year - (January  through December.)

I have spent hours trying to figure this out, to no avail. Right Clicking on REPORTS on the Navigation Tree does not give an option to create a New Report, contrary to the help file instruction. All I get is General Report Manager which is an animated instruction sequence telling me to Right Click on Reports, etc, which does not work.

Thanks for your help I appreciate any and all input. Just looking to create a simple Categories Report for an Annual given year.
