import QIF files

have just downloaded the program. Want to import a quicken file. Have converted file to QIF. Problem is the "import file" is not highlighted. and does not work. What do I need to do please?

I realize this is a late reply but perhaps it can help others who find this post.

If File > Import appears as gray text, chances are you don't have a database currently open.

If you want to import QIF into an existing database, just make sure you open that database before choosing File > Import.

If you are a first time user and importing a QIF file for the first time, choose Create a New Database on the initial splash screen. If you got past the splash screen already and are on the main window, choose File > New Database.
