1.3.4 Reporting Errors

Post by JohnD »

I have found errors in 3 of the different reporting areas:-

CATEGORIES (not very important)
INCOME versus EXPENSES (important)
SUMMARY of ACCOUNTS (very important)

The details are below.

MMEX Ver 1.3.4 – Error Report

Information about system tests

Downloaded V1.3.4 (Win 64 bit) on 24/4/2020 at 19.26 UK time (onto Windows 8.1 English PC)
Downloaded V1.3.4 (win 64 bit) on 26/4/2020 (onto a Windows 7 – French PC)
Tests using multiple currencies (Euros = base currency, plus pounds sterling/GBP as secondary)

REPORTS

LOW Priority
1. CATEGORIES - Using report on last 12 months (same with this year/last year etc.,).

Amounts shown correctly on table, plus colours correct on graph (good) -

Moving mouse over graph, shows correct information, BUT over the wrong columns (BAD) e.g. moving over month 9 income 9 shows value of month 12s expenses.
(screen shots available if required)

HIGH Priority
2. Income versus Expenses – using report on last 12 months (same for this year/last years etc.,).

Amounts appear correctly on table, BUT not on graph (income uses expenses figures and expenses uses income figures) very confusing. i.e. blue columns are expenses and red columns are income.
Also, Moving mouse over graph, shows incorrect information (VERY BAD), also like Categories above, shows information for the wrong columns (BAD) e.g. moving over month 9 income 9 shows value of month 12s expenses (which in fact is months 12s income).
(screen shot available if required)

When report is using current month, graph shows expenses (using the income figure) and income (using the expenses figure). Screen shot available if required.

3. SUMMARY of Accounts – using monthly report (same for yearly).

Incorrect amounts appear on table. This may (or may not) be due to having multiple currencies (Euros and Pounds sterling). The amounts displayed in the report differ to the home page summary!
(Screen shots available if required). E.G. There is one credit card account shown – which has a sterling (GBP) balance of £160.39 (or 184.33 Euros). This is correctly shown on the summary page (and when I display the account), but the Monthly Summary report shows the credit card balance as being 94.51 (Euros). The credit card account goes back to the year 2010 and was previously updated with earlier versions of MMEX.

SCREEN SHOTS available if required.
