1.3.4 cannot import CSV files

Post by Ianola »

I am a long time user of MMEX and have installed version 1.3.4. When I enter the CSV Import dialog box the Import button is disabled and does not function. The data base that I am using was created in the previous version. The very first time I entered the dialog box the button was available but not any more. All the fields have been allocated correctly. The previous version 1.3.3 is still installed as it is in a separate C:\Programe files directory. The CSV Import function works ok in the previous version. What have missed doing?

Thank you Nikolay for your reply. I still have the problem.
I have two saved templates. Template 0 loads as soon as the CSV Import dialog page is entered but the Import button is not activated and no import data is displayed in the box on the top right hand side of the screen however data is placed in the Preview box. If I switch to Template 1 the result is the same. When I browse for a new file in the File Name: box, select a file and then press the Open button data appears in the top right hand side box and the Preview box but the Import button is not activated.
I have deleted and reinstalled the MMEX 64 bit version. When I use the previous version 1.3.3 with Templates 0 and 1 previously defined the Import button is always active.

Hi Nikolay, I can confirm the issue.
The fact is that when you recall the saved setting the import button is not enabled. In order to enable it you have to manually change either the target bank account or the csv file path. It works even if you do this in an empty/unused profile and then the button stays enabled on your existing saved profiles. When you close the Import dialog and reopen it, the import button is grayed out again and you have to repeat the workaround described above. This is quite annoying. I don't trust using this version until this issue is solved.

Thanks,
Stefano

It will be fixed in v1.3.5-beta.5

PS just tested import button in 1.3.5-beta.3. Seems working.

I recommend to download https://sourceforge.net/projects/moneym ... p/download
Extract to any folder like C:\Portable_apps\mmex
Start C:\Portable_apps\mmex\bin\mmex.exe and open your mmb file
Import csv data.
Then you may use mmex 1.3.3 as usual.
I hope you enjoy version 1.3.5 too.
