Does this release have to be created?

Is there an executable version available for 1.3.0 (for Mac)? What I downloaded is a tar with all the pieces in it, but I no longer know how to go from this to a finished software. If I am confused, please explain...

tar is an archive with source code. It's only for developers.
The binary files for MAC will be available later.

Thanks for the prompt explanation! But then why did SourceForge send out "download now" emails? Or does GA stand for developers only? Eleanor
