I have the same problem, will this be fixed soon and have I lost all my data.

I was trying to download 1.3.3, stated as the last stable version, but the link downloaded 1.4.0-alpha-1, which I mistakenly installed.
I'd love to get to a version that works!!

For me the last version that i had no trouble was 1.3.1

v1.3.3 is the latest stable version and the download link has been corrected.

The 1.4 alpha builds had some issues for Mac - those have been resolved and the next release after 1.4alpha3 should be ok.
