Appimage

Why has not anyone tried to create an appimage so that it can be used on most distributions without having installation problems? I tried the snap version but on Pclinuxos it is not supported while all the appimage I tried work fine.

I would like this a lot. AppImages work on many distros, one file, you can choose where to put it on your machine.
I cannot get MMEX to install on Linux and I have had trouble with a few programs but MMEX has been the hardest by far.
