Hi all... I like very much MMEX, and I'd like to port it to .Net Framework, with the following stack: WPF, NHibernate, Castle Project, Caliburn.
I'd like to start this project as an example application of good programming practices, in an open source way with the same licence than MMEX, using the same database schema.

Is this possible? Is there some problem regarding the licensing scheme?

There already exists mmex.net, a predecessor of mmex.

As Vadim pointed out, there was a MMEX.NET before MMEX C++.
You should be able to create a version of .NET. And I don't see a problem with licensing etc, since you are going to be writing the code from scratch, you can have any license you want.
