GUI not so nice in linux mint

Post by overkill22 »

Hi guys,
here's a screenshot of one of the transaction windows, as you can see the cells are very small and even if I resize the window they don't change.
Is it possible to fix this and to add the maximise (+) to every window?

What's your monitor resolution? Retina?

No, I have an Asus UX305 1920x1080 but it is 13" and actually the support in mint is not really good. Could be that I resized the font in all the system and the cell doesn't follow the size of the font?

eg. default font size 9px -> cell fit 9px font
custom font size 12px -> cell fit 9px font and will not adjust to the new size

Yes, font could be the problem.

Currently MMEX UI doesn't scale really well when changing resolution/DPI/Font.

We have in plan to fix it for retina display, it should fix your problem too

Thank you.
Just to point out that the version of Mint 17.3 has the fix for retina display or Hi-DPI display that will DOUBLE the size of everything. HOWEVER, this is not a good fix as if a display is HD but not retina, with this solution the font will be either too small or too big. ;)
I think they are going to fix this problem in the next distro release.

Thank you!
