Importing data from another accounting software

Post by tosca »

I just installed MMEX on my Android tablet and would like to import the data from my previous accounting software, that was KMyMoney on Linux.
KMyMoney provides exports in both QIF and CSV formats, but I can't find an import function in the MMEX menu. Am I missing something?

Thank you for helping.

Sorry for the double posting, I hadn't realized the first message was pending moderation.

I'm surprized no one seems to be able to answer the question, though: is it possible to import data in QIF or CSV format, or not at all?

Thank you in advance for helping.

You can import both QIF and CSV in desktop version, then copy database (it's the same format) on mobile, or better use one of supported cloud services and use it from mobile and desktop

Thanks for your answer.
On my desktop, I'm running Linux Fedora. But I only found MMEX packages for Ubuntu or ArchLinux on this page. Can I find the package for Fedora (or RedHat) elsewhere?

Currently we haven't a developer that knows RPM, so I don't think it will happen in near future.
Obviously we will be very happy if someone with this knowledge will join the team.

Got a solution from the french Fedora forum: RPM packages are available from a private repo, see this page.
