1.3.4.rc2-win64 rejected by Avast

Post by paulcroft »

Hi Staff

I've just downloaded the latest version of MMEX: 1.3.4.rc2-win64, and Avast is preventing it from installing. I can install the win32 version after Avast's usual warning that the file may be unsafe but the win 32 version is the portable version, even though it's not shown to be, so none of my settings is being imported.

No big deal, just a heads up, but I will stick with 1.3.4.beta2-win64 until it's sorted.

Great to know that this magnificent piece of software is still being tweaked where necessary, I couldn't live without it.

Hi Paul,

If Avast does not block portable vertion just extract it to any folder then copy mmexini.db3 file to the same folder and DB file as well.

Hi Nikolay

Thanks for that, I did recall that the only difference between portable and regular was the location of the ini file, it was more a heads up, but later versions have installed without difficulty.

How nice to see you're still around, there are many of us out here who still rely on this small but invaluable piece of software.

Cheers for now
