I have 2 problems when importing QIF transactions to MMEX.
1) the date format for the before and after Y2K is different. I suppose I can import the file twice by selecting the date range and specifing the correct date format during the input.
2) As the MMEX database was created, it defaults all accounts open date as today, but the transactions that I am transferring are generally prior to today's date with the exception of scheduled transactions. Therefore no transctions are imported. It may work if I change each and every account start date to an earlier date manually but that would be quite laborous. Is there a better way that I can change all the account start dates in one go.

Re: Importing QIF to MMEX
Thanks Renato. With regards to (2), after reading the link, I am still not sure what I need to do to make the account inital date automatically adjusted to the first transaction date. Is it possible or is that still an outstanding issue.

Re: Importing QIF to MMEX
From my point of view, this still applies:
You can work around it in the following way:
create all the accounts manually with the same name as in MS Money
change all the creation date to a date prior to the first transaction date of all accounts
or
import all transaction (all accounts are created)
change all the creation date to a date prior to the first transaction date of all accounts
delete all transaction
import all transaction
I think this is a pratical solution, as you only do a takeover once.

You could use a database browser (SQLite) to adjust all opening dates with little effort.Is there a better way that I can change all the account start dates in one go.
