Hi
I use 2024.10.19 Money Manager Ex from F-droid.
I can't add attachments to transactions.
Unfortunately, I cannot set the transaction attachment folder properly. When trying to set the attachment folder, I cannot access Google Drive; the only option I have is a path on my current Android device, and I cannot pick the folder I have set on the cloud.
Even if I add an attachment in the Windows version, it's not visible on the Android one.
"settings->per-database->Attachment folder" - if this is the place where I am supposed to choose the folder, I can't choose the one in the cloud.
Please advise.
Thank You
Transaction attachment not working

Re: Transaction attachment not working
Hi @WujekNemo, thanks for trying the attachment preview.
Google Drive does not yet support such a direct setup. we mentioned it as a know issue in MMEX Android Attachment Preview Support.
possible to try another cloud provider? The attachment and database would be separated.
btw, are you willing to join MMEX on Google Play internal testing? we upgrade some compile parameters in the one

Setting up attachments folder on google drive
I tried to insert attachments in the android app.
For everything related to MMEX I use Google Drive, including attachments.
Unfortunately, however, from the android version, I obviously can't see the attachments I have entered that are shared in the google drive folder, but unfortunately I can't even choose a folder in the cloud, but can only choose local folders.
Is this correct, or is it just me who can't find a cloud folder?
Let's say it would be a nonsense to be able to insert attachments on the desktop that I would not be able to view on the android app and vice versa.
EDIT:
Sorry... I just saw that there is another similar post. Perhaps you can merge this post with the other one....

Re: Transaction attachment not working
Hello,
MMEX android version : 2024.11.01
MMEX desktop version : 1.8.0 64 bits
OS version : Opensuse Tumbleweed
French version
On the android version, I can't attach file or view attachment (created on the desktop version).
My database and attachment folder (on the android version), are set on an android folder. And I use Syncthing to synchronize desktop and android. All work fine.
On android I see the word Attachment in a transaction, but not be able to create an attachment or view an attachment (create with the desktop version).
I add that :
- I can create a transaction in the android version
- In the attachment folder, I can open the attachments by pressing on it, but not by the view option in MMEX.
- I have read the mmex attachment documentation and so on
Any ideas and suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Transaction attachment not working
Hi @alfred07380, so far, the Android version only supports viewing/reading the attachment you created from the desktop version.
Can you share your attachment folder settings, and verify you can view the attachments on your phone (e.g. via Files)? note that database files and attachments are separated.

OK. Thanks

See screenshot

As mentioned in my first post, I can open/view attachment with files app. In the attachment folder.
Thanks

Re: Transaction attachment not working
Hurry !!! It works !!
I changed the destination attachment folder, by using the attachment folder itself, not the database folder.
It's strange, because I seem to have tried this before, and it didn't work.
Sorry for the inconvenience
