thanks @Renato and @mickgardner1

the database file works well with 2025.02.07.1070 on my Android 14 device

Is there any other hint to reproduce the issue?

That's really odd - no idea what's going on - it won't work on either of my Android devices. For now, I'll stick with just the Android version - the Windows version is clearly doing something to the database that makes it unusable on my Android devices.

FIXED!!!

What I did was to activate a passcode on the Android version on my phone then delete the passcode. I then accessed the database in the Windows version which converted it but now I can access the file in the Android version as well as the Windows version.

Very odd but it's sorted.

Hello,
I have the same problem, and I can reproduce it.

My Android version is 5.2.3 (1080) and my Desktop version is 1.9.0.
What I did is the following:
- I exported my .mmb database using the Android App, by Settings - Database - Export Database
- I uploaded this database to the cloud to be able to access it from the PC
- If I try to open this database FROM the cloud using Windows, it works normally.
- If I try to open this database FROM the cloud using Android, I get the message "The passphrase appears to be cleared"
- If I try to open the exported database from its original location in my phone, using Android, it works normally.

At the moment, I cannot open any file from the cloud (Onedrive) using the Android app. The message is always the same "The passphrase appears to be cleared". From Windows, all files from cloud work normally.
This is odd... :D

Also try clearing ammex's local copy of the database, from Settings - Apps - mmex - Storage (or similar, different Android versions do it differently), then restarting the app.

Yes, I know it's weird :D
I tried everything, I completely uninstalled the Android app and reinstalled. Basically, I cannot open any file stored on my Onedrive, even though I can open the same files using the Windows version on my PC.
