Feature Request: NEW predefined filter for dates

Post by MlinMMEX »

Hello,
Would it be cheap and fast to add a preset filter to the current list of preset filters on dates?
In comparing data from the last year (which exists now in v1.9.0), I would like to request "Complete year before last" (i.e. two years ago).

Current Year: 2025
Last Year: 2024
Year Before Last: 2023

thank you very much for your quick action, but..
(a) the .pot file does not contain the string "year before last" available to be translated.
(b) the portable version of current development build (v1.9.1 AFAIK) is not available at this moment.

Please notify and I will test the new feature in a portable version. Thank you very much again!

Hi again,
Tested. It works fine. Selects year 2023. Thank you very much.

On the other side, for my surprise, I noticed that the set of filters and names available in the Transactions List is NOT the same that is available in the Reports filter for dates.... :o

Hi @MlinMMEX ,

The “Date range” filter isn't enough for you?

Because by adding items to the list of filters, you'll waste time looking for the one that suits you best.

Hello,
I am not sure that we are referring to the same set of filters. Let me attach the images.
I would love to have the "reports" list of filters as complete as the "transactions" list of filters... :) and by the way, including the "Year before last" new addition 8-)
As easy as that. Hope this helps.

Agreed with @alfred07380,
MMEX can compare all historical data if you track it in your database. This is an advantage over other solutions.

@MlinMMEX, do you think the Year before last is still needed? I'm ok to revoke it to keep the system neat.

Hi! I expect that to be delivered. Never thought of being cheaper to remove the option.
I could also ask for a justification of all other dates pre-filters, which I did not asked, but I respect the request made by others.

For sure I would use what I asked for. If possible, take in account my request. That is why I posted this thread: cheap and fast changes.
Thank you very much to all for your understanding.

Just by the way: I hardly think it makes sense to demand new features in this way.
All developers work voluntarily so that you can use MMEX for free.

thank you very much @Renato .
I would love to know if you could help me to help them, and make request in a better way. :?:

What did I, but going to a forum "Feature Request" and create a post about something easy to do and immediately available to all users?
Someone saw it, implemented it, and now...

What was wrong? What is the matter with this last posts about my request? I am a little confused, dear forum colleagues... :?
