[1.5.4] no packages for Ubuntu/focal 20.04

Post by Eduardommex »

Hi
I have ubuntu 20.04 with MMEx version 1.5.1 installed and I could not find a stable package for updating my MMex. Is there any way to find any later version after 1.5.1 for installing in my Linux OS?
Thanks in advance.

Now version 1.5.2 is found, but it doesn't work well on my Mint. When I enter the amount of a transaction it is not accepted. On win 10, however, 1.5.4 works perfectly

Unfortunately, the service that was responsible for building packages for Linux became commercial with an expensive tariff plan for us. Therefore, we cannot make packages for those distributions that we supported. In this case, I would focus on building the package myself. Moreover, mmex works stably only with wxwidgets 3.1.5.

Since June 15th, 2021, the building on travis-ci.org is ceased. Please use travis-ci.com from now on.

@Nikolay: You're relating to packagecloud, don't you? Although the prices are not too low, they state that opensource-projects may be hosted for free [1]:
packagecloud supports Open Source Projects
Thousands of open source projects rely on packagecloud to distribute their software around the world for free.
Contact us to start distributing your open source project with packagecloud
I'll contacted them privately and asked about further requirements of oss-projects. They have some requests of which I guess they could be fulfilled. What do you think of it?
1. One-time requests:
- Display packagecloud logo with a link back to packagecloud.io on your project website and Github using our branding guidelines
- Work with us on a blog post for your use-case: we can produce the content of the blog based on some questions you can help us answer
- Share the blog post about packagecloud with your users over Slack/Discord/newsletters, etc.
- Give us a shoutout on https://g2.com

2. Quarterly request:
- Support (like) our social media post once every quarter (https://twitter.com/packagecloudio)
And of course, there is also a disclaimer:
Standard legal disclaimer: OSS hosting may be subject to future change in the unfortunate event that hosting consumes resources excessively, making our business unsustainable. It's unlikely to happen, however - our growth is strong, and OSS hosting currently has limits on bandwidth and storage.

Regarding the oss hosting limits, they seem to be as follows [1]:
- 250 MB of bandwidth
- 250 MB of storage

I don't know if this would be enough.
