Random Attachments
Just recently I have noticed that some transactions for which I have NOT added an attachment have (att) in the Notes column. When I click on the transaction there is no attachment to view.
If I go into edit the transaction it says “Unable to open file…. Etc” but I am able to remove it.
The file “attached” appear to be random.
This only happens on some transactions not all

Re: Random Attachments
By 'random', do you mean that they are plausible (and possibly previously used), names of attachment files that have been added randomly to these transactions?
Or do you mean that the file names consist of random strings of characters?

Re: Random Attachments
By random I mean genuine files that have been attached to other transactions but show as attached to unconnected transactions.

Re: Random Attachments
It would be beneficial if you could tell us with which operating system, MMEX version, database local or in the cloud the problem occurs.
Does the problem also occur when you create/use a new database. ??

Re: Random Attachments
I have waiting of an answer to the question:
Does the problem also occur when you create/use a new database. ??
.
Am I correct in assuming that only the .mmb database is stored on Onedrive.
Then where are the attachments stored and where the MMEX (installed or portable).

Re: Random Attachments
Hi
I have still not had a chance to set up a new database as this will be a time-consuming process. I do intend to set up a new database for use from 06/04/2023.
The . emb file is stored on OneDrive and the attachments are stored on OneDrive in %DATABASE%
The application files are held on my Windows 10 laptop in
The C:\ drive

Re: Random Attachments
It is known that there are always problems with Onedrive.
This is in the fewest cases a problem of MMEX, but of Onedrive with its settings / use.
I would search the forum the various posts about it: search.php?keywords=onedrive
