See attached screenshots.
I think the problem is that in the Android app, we have to choose a currency symbol from the existing ones, and this creates a conflict.
I can create currency in windows app without any problems.

I agree. Creating a NEW currecny in the Android app in 2024.02.02 (1017) is a problem. In order to create a NEW currency you would have to specify a new currency symbol for that new currency, but the Currency Symbol field is a drop-down list showing all the EXISTING currency symbols. You cannot select an EXISTING currency symbol when you are trying to create a NEW currency. That doesn't make sense. A new currency requires a NEW unique currency symbol.

So the Android app cannot use a drop-down list for this field. It has to be an object that users can enter info into, like a textbox. The Prefix Symbol and Suffix Symbol fields have it correct - those fields are textboxes.
