Where is the Swedish translation in version 1.3.4?

Post by tomastomas »

I just downloaded the new version 1.3.4, and now, Swedish translation is not possible to select in the "View / Switch application Language" menu.

Why?

I suggest to download https://sourceforge.net/projects/moneym ... p/download zip folder then extract po/swedish.po
Open it with https://poedit.net/
Save as mmex.mo
Create new folder in mmex app directory po/sv_SE and copy mmex.po file into it.

I see! Better start translating then to reach the magic 50% limit for the next release :)

Meanwhile, I'll use your trick below, works perfect :)

Perfect. Could you please translate some general phrases (visible in daily usage of mmex) and upload po (not mo) file here:
viewforum.php?f=6

I'll include it to the next release despite the percentage of translations.

Hmm. I have been translating via Launchpad (https://translations.launchpad.net/mmex) which is linked from the development menu at https://www.moneymanagerex.org/

Is that wrong? :?

Up to 42% now.. and counting.

Why is there a launchpad translation still active (and by the way, linked from the mmex home page) if the po files are handled manually on the side in some other system?

Really? REALLY??

If the translations no longer are supposed to be handled from Launchpad, remove the link to launchpad from the mmex homepage!

Do you really expect everyone who wants to contribute to read every thread in this forum and other places scattered around internet to find all the info needed? Forum, Github, crowdin, who nows where else? How to decide if what I read is stil valid or if there is som other info at some other location?

Update the links on https://www.moneymanagerex.org/ so they are valid. First rule in documentation: Remove outdated links.

tomastomas Thank you for your help with the Swedish translation and for pointing out the mistake on the website. It looks like the website link has been updated.

I do what I can, and I'm now up to 41%. However, since my translations has to be approved by someone else, the approved translations are only 13% :(
