Please tell me three things:
1. How do I inform a new install of MMEX (for Windows) which drive and folder I want to use for the database?
2. I have an existing installation of MMEX (for Windows). Which menu selections (or other method) tell me where to find the database file that is in current use?
3. When I make a posting to MMEX, can I now expect the database file to have the 'Date Modified' column in File Explorer show the time and date I closed MMEX?
Thanks
John van Someren.

Re: Which database file is the latest one
Thanks for the pointer, but I can't seem to get the answer from the link you posted. Is there a way of finding out the drive and folder of the current database while MMEX is open? Surely this must be the easiest thing ever.

Re: Which database file is the latest one
I saw that, but I didn't know if 'Recent' included the current one. And it doesn't say which drive and which folder folder.
I know I'm being a pain, but I want to make sure that the file and folder is within the range of the new Backup/Restore software I have downloaded (FBackup).
Thanks
John

Re: Which database file is the latest one
search with Everything https://www.voidtools.com/ on .mmb, then all with directory are shown.
By the way: I backup not only my personal data, but the whole system disk daily with Macrium Reflect on a second disk in the PC and monthly on an external disk. So I can always restore the last status in case of problems or purchase of a new PC.

Re: Which database file is the latest one
Many thanks. I see your name on practically all the questions on the forum. If you have any influence with the developers, suggesting that they have a place (in Tools>>Options) where one can find the drive, folder and filename of the database would help people like me.
Thanks for your patience.

you're welcome.
60 years ago I also programmed, but today's programming languages are not my friends, so here in the forum I try to help the MMEX users with my IT knowledge.
