Importing transfer transactions

I am exploring MMEX with a view to replacing an ancient MS Money installation. I have quite a lot of history which it is important to me so I want to import data. For transfers between accounts two odd things happen. First the sign on all imports is reversed - so a move of 10€ from account A to account B is imported as a move from B to A. Needless to say this has an unfortunate effect on my balances. The effect is heightened by the transaction being imported twice. When I import account A the transaction is entered in both A and B. I then import B to get the remainder of transactions from that account - and I get all of the transfers again - in both accounts.
Are either of these known problems?
