MMEX 1.3.3: Automatic recurring transactions

The documentation suggests that it is possible to set up automatically recurring transactions, but doesn't explain how.
On the Windows version of MMEX, if I look at "Recurring Transactions", the "Autorepeat" column is there - again suggesting it is possible - but all of my transactions are set to manual.
If I edit a recurring transaction, there is a "Grant automatic execute permission for this entry" option but it is disabled. It is also disabled if I create a new recurring transaction.
What do I need to do to make recurring transactions become automatic instead of manual, please?
