Cannot open from Dropbox
Hello all. When I ran MMEX on my old tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 with Android 5), it was able to sync via Dropbox. However now I'm running Android 8.1 on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A and I am unable to open my database from Dropbox. I am currently in the beta program and when I press "Remote File" (https://imgur.com/a/CVFi1jP), nothing happens - I am unable to choose the remote file. Also nothing happens when I press "Download." Is this a known issue or can I resolve it somehow? Thank you in advance.

Same issue being faced by me.
Now I am stuck, simply unable to bring my data file from drop box to phone.
Somehow the option is not appearing.
Holding my head in despair.

Re: Cannot open from Dropbox
I can not access Dropbox from my Android Galaxy S7 device at present. However, I am able to access the Dropbox account from my mobile device and Money Manager Ex desktop version (Windows 10) can access the database file from the Dropbox account. Reconfiguring the Money Manager App on my Android device is not possible because Dropbox is not an available option.
This is a serious problem as I use the mobile device for 99% of all my interaction with Money Manager Ex.
Any Support and Help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Not until they sort out the app. There was another update yesterday but it did nothing to sort out the Dropbox problem. In the past we could have continued using the beta application, but that's affected too.

Re: Cannot open from Dropbox
I rolled back to the normal release, cleared app data and cache, and restarted the app. Upon starting, I get this screen (https://i.imgur.com/32gq79M.jpg). I follow the instructions for cloud services ("Open the file from a preferred document provider") so I open the file through Dropbox. The screen does not change at all. This is such a pain.

Re: Cannot open from Dropbox
+1 for not having the option to open a database from dropbox.
Any suggestions on how to deal with this would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Impossibile qualsiasi sincronizzazione

Re: Cannot open from Dropbox
Same here - I got an update on Friday and dropbox is no longer an option for cloud based storage. This has resulted in the account file being out of sync, and I'm unable to reconcile etc.

Re: Cannot open from Dropbox
I am using Google Drive, but this changed for me also. I can point directly to the database file in my Google App folder on my phone, and it works, however I am having to perform manual Syncs now. I liked the old system better.

Re: Cannot open from Dropbox
I had same problem with Dropbox while installing MMEx and Dropbox on a new Galaxy Tab A 8 (2017) tablet. Finally resolved it by making sure all permissions were allowed for both apps. Then used Open Database and navigated to the path: "Galaxy Tab A 8/Android/data/com.dropbox.android/files/U190835669/scratch/dropboxfolder/filename.mmb. The device name, dropbox folder, and file name will be unique to each user. I got there by trial and error using the Open Database command, then clicking on all the choices presented by each of the next dialog boxes, until I found the path to the database file in my Dropbox. Since Dropbox was not a choice in the initial dialog box, I chose the device name, and continued from there. Hope this helps others with a similar problem.

Re: Cannot open from Dropbox
It would seem at present that there is no light at the end of the tunnel for the Android version MMEX. I have just got a new Android phone which had MMEX pre-installed. However, upon opening it and linking DropBox ect. I cannot open a database from DropBox. I have tried saving my desktop database as a.mmb file into the correct part of DropBox but it still doesn't work. Is there actually any hope that this will be resolved by an update?

Re: Cannot open from Dropbox
I'm using version 2019.04.10.100.1000-beta and I just sync the actual database file itself with my favorite cloud provider (not dropbox) and don't click the "synchronize" button. It works flawless.
The database file path is:
/ Android / data / com.money.mamanger.ex / files / databases / yourfile.mmb
The other user above opened the database directly in his dropbox path and said it works fine.

Cannot open from Dropbox
Hi
I have been using MMex on PC and android for several years now. With Android you will have to use an older version of of the program and never update. Make sure it does not update automatically. This has worked for me for the last 18 months.

Found the older versions on Moneymanagerex websites under downloads.
Just installed version 2018.09.22.985 and it works fine.

MMEX Team,
Are there any fixes for this in the immediate future or is the only solution to go back to the old version?
Please do let me know.

Re: Cannot open from Dropbox
Similar problems with the application appeared after the last update. I recommend going back to the previous version, or even better, to the very beginning.
Open "Settings".
Select Applications or Application Manager.
Select "Application Manager" if your device has one. ...
Select the application whose version you want to return to the factory version.
Click on the "Uninstall updates" button
The application will be the same as you launched it the first time.
