option to remove transfers from "where the money comes from"

In many cases transfers are between accounts and not an external source of income so would it be possible when looking at the reporting category to remove transfers so they are not seen as a source of income.

In which report are you seeing a transfer being shown as a source of income?

Could you post a screenshot of the relevant transfer transaction and the corresponding report please? Preferably create a small test database that isolates this down to the simplest example.
