Re: Upgrade error
Sure, how can I execute this script to add table to the database?
From application itself or I need other tool?

Re: Upgrade error
I use for this: https://sqlitebrowser.org/dl/
.
An alternative would be to send the .mmb to mmex-reg@bluewin.ch and I will do it for you.
Of course I guarantee absolute confidentiality of the data.

Re: Upgrade error
Thanks, I did the table with the tool, and upgraded successfully, however my database seems to be unstable, attached is an error when I click on any Bank account in the left pane

Re: Upgrade error
Were there any other error messages?
Which operating system version / MMEX version are you using?

Re: Upgrade error
Did you try the other solution from the GitHub link? Opening first in 1.5.21, then opening in 1.7.0 (or whatever later version you are working with)?

Re: Upgrade error
I would suggest that you open a new accounting system (database) with MMEX 1.7.0 as of 1.1.2024.
I would close the current year on the installed MMEX version 1.0.0.3.
By the way: Microsoft will also no longer offer you support on Windows 7.

Re: Upgrade error
Reset make sense, I was also considering it, however, with a fresh new database, another error pop out when refreshing Rates, screen attached.
Now I am wondering is recent MMEX unstable or something wrong with my OS. The reset will cost me some data entry effort, recreation of accounts, recurring transactions, categories etc and I want to avoid rollback to the older version which is working for me perfectly in the last 10 years (except Rates refreshing discontinued).
May 32-bit version be more stable for me any idea?

Re: Upgrade error
MMEX 1.6.4 as well as 1.7.0 64 bit version are stable.
There are no reports in the forum about problems with a very old Windows 7.
I hardly believe that we have the possibility to reproduce an error on Windows 7.
Am I right in assuming that this error message listed below occurs with MMEX 1.7.0 and a new database?
Have you already entered accounts and bookings in this new database?
I repeat my offer:
an alternative would be to send the .mmb to mmex-reg@bluewin.ch and I will do it for you.
Of course I guarantee absolute confidentiality of the data.

Re: Upgrade error
When saying unstable I meant my particular instance.
Yes, freshly created database with 1.6.0 where I have some accounts (Cash, Credit) and one transaction only, the database attached, the app is broken when refreshing Rates.
I did as you requested table creation with SQL Lite tool and upgraded to 1.6.0 successfully, which ends up with the error when I am just selecting an account on the left pane. Do you think sharing .mmb with you may change something here?Renato wrote: ↑Mon Jan 01, 2024 3:29 pm I repeat my offer:

Re: Upgrade error
Database opened and upgraded correctly. I thne see no issues in refreshing rates or navigating the database transactions. (MacOS)

Re: Upgrade error
I have opened your file with my 1.7.1 Beta1, it has been updated to the latest DB19 and is working fine.
Performed all possible tests, updated currencies and also entered bookings.
I could not find any problems, everything worked properly.
Would recommend you to delete the file mmexini.db3.
with Everything https://www.voidtools.com/ you can find this file.
Then uninstall MMEX, download the latest MMEX 1.7.0 from https://moneymanagerex.org/docs/downloads/latest/ and install it.
By the way: I am happy to provide support, but on the basis of current MMEX versions.

Re: Upgrade error
Yahoo changed their finance API since 1.6.0 was released. You will not be able to fetch rates in that version, it only works on 1.6.4 and 1.7.0.
