Hi,
I used TestFlight to test this beta version, but it didn’t work. I tested it with a database I created, but no data appeared. I also tried using a none encrypted .mmb file, but the result was the same as using an encrypted file. Finally, I attempted to create a new database, but it was impossible to create a new file for use. Is there anything missing doing for testing?

Could you start with `Create and Use Sample Database` and choose your preferred location to place the sample database?

`create new database` will create an empty one and you need to book items from scratch.

Also, do you have any screenshots to help illustrate the issue? It should work with databases created from desktop and Android mmex.

For example, I selected "Create and User Sample Database` IMG_6006.PNG
and after selecting the folder to place the database field, there is not any option to follow the process. IMG_6007.PNG

Or If I selected " open database" IMG_6008.PNG there is not any latest transaction IMG_6009.PNG or any account created IMG_6010.PNG

Click `Move` at the top right after selecting a folder. Then it will create the database file in the folder.

only the sample database has some initial data while the brand new database is empty (account setup will be added in the next releases)

Ok, thanks! I have already done creating a sample database and also using with a created database file.
Then, I started testing it to familiarize myself with the app navigation.
It seems quite similar to the desktop app.
While testing, I have 2 questions:
- On the transaction screen, I couldn’t see an option to select a subcategory, it is only category available. Is this feature missing, or did I miss how to do it?
- Thinking about a future way to work, it would be good to have the same mmb file in the cloud, synchronizing both from the iPhone and from the desktop using Ubuntu 24.04. Do you have any suggestions which is the best free cloud to use in this way, Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive? I have tried to use Mega cloud, but it has some restriction using iOS.

All categories are flattened and would be selected during your transaction booking.

The first choice is iCloud Drive or phone’s storage + sync service (e.g. syncthing, resilio).

Other public or private cloud service should work as well in theory, and it depends how well they integrate with iOS Files app.

I have used the iPhone app, and so far it is running well and as I expected.
My comments:
- Displaying both categories and subcategories at the same level is a problem, at least with the way I have created category and subcategory names. For example, I have named, for different categories, with the same subcategories name as ‘Others’, that cannot be differentiated on the phone.
- I still haven’t found a practical and simple combination of any Cloud + sync service, that works with the same cloud service on both Ubuntu 24.04 on my laptop and my iPhone, even though they use different sync services. At least, I haven’t found one yet. Any recommendations?

No.1, this has been refined to show the full name by combining its parents and is available from v0.1.12 (18) for internal testing.
No.2, can you try the device's local storage + Resilio for your iPhone and Ubuntu?
