Copy and paste reports to Excel doesn't work

I need to be able to export income and expenditure by category to excel and have seen in the forum that other users can copy and paste direct from the report page but when I do this it pastes all data into a single cell with no obvious delimiters so csv doesn't seem to be an option either. Can anyone help with another way? I'm using mmex version 1.5.20 on Monterey 12.3.1

LeoB, in Excel make sure to single click on a cell and paste directly on the sheet (not in the field above the sheet)
