Hello together,
it is possible to only import or export the categories and/or payee ? I like to build my own categorie / payee tree and save it. Maybe after a new installation i want to import back. I try already the export function, but there i need minimum also put the date and the amount.
Before i make as solution a account with all my categories inside, i have think i ask before.

I would create a sample accounting system.
By creating a copy of the .mmb file you have the desired solution.

thx for the quick response. As i have see (excuse i am a real noob) the *.mmb file is a SQlite Database file. Is in that Database somewhere all the categories, that i can edit there?

I would not edit the .mmb with a DB browser, but with MMEX.
This ensures that the data is saved and linked correctly.
There are two mysql databases in MMEX, .db3 contains all settings (applies to all .mmb) and the .mmb contains all accounting data.
