One report from 2 or more databases

What are your thoughts on giving users the ability to execute a report based on two or more databases?
Imagine managing three distinct databases:
Database A – your own database
Database B – your parents' database
Database C – your children's database
At times, you may pay home bills from both your personal account (Database A) and your parents' account. When you want to track how much was spent on electricity, you encounter a challenge. You'd typically need to create separate reports for each database and then export them to Excel for consolidation.
What if there was an option to select from different sources before executing the report?
For instance:
Report: Electricity Bills
Payee: Electrical Company
Dates: From 01/01/2024 to 31/12/2024
Databases: A, B
While merging all databases into one is possible, it can unnecessarily complicate management.
