Just installing the android version 2024.08.25.1038.
On windows I have:
Money Manager Ex
• Versione: 1.8.0 64-bit
• Compilato il: Apr 29 2024 08:08:39
• Versione del Database: 19 (aes128cbc)
• Git commit: 3325705 (2024-04-29)

I'm actually used on Dropbox, I made a copy on Google Drive and share.
After that I try, from android, to open the existing DB on Drive;
he ask for a PIN and I write the psw for drive
then a msg says
"the file is not a database".
Someone can help me?

If your dB is not encrypted you musy left pin blank.

The pin request is for read dB, not to access to gdrive

If I leave empty, just do OK
I receive this message:
No fingerprint configured. Please register at least one fingerprint.
After that if I try to launch again the app I have always the same msg.
If I open same db from windows it's ok.

I finally solved the problem by adding a fingerprint to my smartphone.
It seems that MMEX needs a fingerprint.

@wolfsolver how about deprecate figure-print support in MMEX4Android? As it is not well implemented

I agree, there are other features that have priority.
