Date Format Error

I set the date format to DD-MM-YY. I see that format in Account View, but whenever I click “New” transaction, the format I see in the dialog box is MM-DD-YY. This causes me endless confusion. Is this a bug or is it something I can fix? MMEX version 1.6.4, Windows 7. Thanks for any help.
