MS Money Sunset Edition QIF import error

Hello,

I am given MMEX a test run and ran into a snag trying to import QIF files I exported from the sunset edition of MS Money.

I am running on an iMac with MacOS 15.7.1 and I run MS Money on Windows 10 using Parallels on my Mac.

Today I installed what I assume is the most current release of MMEX v1.9.1 64-bit on MacOS.

I have a fairly large QIF file for my savings account as it goes back to 2001. Many of the records were imported, but some key records were missed, specifically all of my regular paycheck transactions. These checks had many split accounts (6 - 10) and I am wondering if that is causing the issue. I imported the same QIF file into GnuCash and it handled it fine. MMEX imported some of my more recent pension checks, but they have only 4 or so account splits which is why I am wondering if the number of splits is related.

I am brand new to MMEX so any advice on troubleshooting this is appreciated as it looks like a worthy successor to MS Money. GnuCash imported my 30 or so QIF files flawlessly, but the interface to GnuCash is somewhat dated to say the least.

I gave this version a try and no luck. It loads most of the transactions, but not all, in particular not paycheck transactions. I don't think it is a format issue with the file as GnuCash loaded all transactions from the same file without issue.

The really weird part is I extracted just the first record in the file to cover the account name and such and then just one more record for a paycheck transaction. The preview window showed all of the splits for that transactions, but after the import was completed, there was nothing in the account.

I ran it again with a new database file and this time checked the all of the tabs "log" through "Category" and noticed the following:

Log appears to show that the program read all 27 lines in the file, but the summary reports having read 28 lines.
Data shows two entries with the correct values. The first entry is the opening balance which is correct and the second is the deposit amount of the paycheck (net pay after all deductions) and that looks correct also. Although, there is an "*" before the Category name so not sure what that means.
Account shows nothing at all which seems odd.
Payee has three entries under Status: OK, Missing, Missing
Category has 8 entries: Missing, Missing, Missing, Missing, OK,Missing, Missing, Missing

Does the software not automatically create the Payees and Categories? I'm almost wondering if that is the issue, but I can't imagine these would not be created automatically during an import operation.

I should not that after the import runs it says it imported one transaction and the account shows just the opening balance. The second paycheck transaction is completely ignored with no errors provided.
