Transaction Sound not working

I have set the transaction sound in Settings/Transaction to either drop.wav or Cash.wav. Neither works when a new transaction is entered. Both sound files are in the C:\Program Files\Money Manager EX\res folder.
MMEX version: V1.9.2 64 bit
Windows 11 Home
Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

I just checked, and it works fine for me.
I would check the PC settings.

Even if MMEX is running, if I go into the Windows 11 Open Volume Mixer, MMEX does not appear in the Apps list for it, so I can't adjust any settings for it. I appreciate that this is not an issue with MMEX, but any help would be appreciated.

Do the speakers work with other apps?
In many cases, Windows 11 switches to the “speakers” on the monitor (headphone output on the monitor), and then you can no longer hear anything.

I can hear everything else via the speakers from all sorts of apps, no problem. The only thing I can think of is that it will not appear in the apps part of the volume mixer, as the sound is too brief in duration. Can I import other sound files that are longer & try them? If I just copy one to the folder:-
C:\Program Files\Money Manager EX\res
It does not appear in the transaction settings page; only Cash.wav & drop.wav are valid options.
