Because of this, it is not easy for me to find an answer by searching the forum if it exists already.

This is my problem:
I created some backups by deleting old transactions to avoid having an overly large mmb file. If it is too long, mmx becomes very slow.
Sometimes I need to open an archive to find a specific transaction, and that's when the problem arises.
When the archive opens, all the scheduled recurring operations appear in pop-up windows, which I obviously don't need! And you have to close them all, one by one, which is quite annoying and time-consuming.

In short, is there a way to open an archive without activating recurring operations?

Perhaps you could tell us which operating system and MMEX version you are using.

How many entries do you have?
Have you optimized the database?
What type of data carrier did you use to save the .mmb file?

Regarding your problem:
This problem has been discussed before, but I can no longer find the post.
The solution is: when archiving a database (.mmb), you should delete these “scheduled transactions” in the archived DB.
However, it is important to also download the corresponding MMEX program (portable version), because it is not always guaranteed that this old database can be used with a current (latest) MMEX version.

Concernant votre problème :
Ce problème a déjà été abordé, mais je ne retrouve plus le message.
La solution est la suivante : lorsque vous archivez une base de données (.mmb) , vous devez supprimer ces « transactions planifiées » dans la base de données archivée.
Il est toutefois important de télécharger également le programme MMEX correspondant (version portable), car il n'est pas toujours garanti que cette ancienne base de données puisse être utilisée avec une version MMEX actuelle (la plus récente).
