Single Payment for Multiple Months

In scenarios like where house rents are paid in advance for like 6 months in one single payment, how could we account this so that amount is reflected for each of the six months it is paid for.
For example, on May 31st, I need to pay house rent for June to Dec. If I record this the way I know, this rent would be paid in May and would show in the month of May which does not show how much I am paying each month for rent.
I am using on desktop n android as well.
