I have the latest version of MMEX running on Windows 10. Today I tried to update my share price by pressing the grey button on stocks screen. I have never had a problem with this process and last updated 2 days ago. However, today it returns an error "Cannot get data from WWW!" and the button turns red. The PC is connected to the internet and if I right click on the stock and press Stock Web Page, it loads the correct page from Yahoo in the browser. I cannot update the share price manually as it is greyed out and following the suggestion in the forum of Add Transaction still does not allow the price to be updated manually.

I have this problem also.

I also use 'Stock Market Functions' for Excel, (SMF_Addin) by Randy Harmelink. This has also stopped working the last few days. I believe Randy says there has been a change on Yahoo, which he hopes will be fixed, but could also be a permanent change which will need to be worked around.

I've not investigated it in detail, so sorry if this doesn't help much.

I got the same error message? is there a new website to use other than the Yahoo site that shut down?

I found following free services for updating Stock prices but since I'm not a programmer I don't know if that can be used.

I tested again with the latest version of Android MMEX and it can now update both currencies exchange rates and stock prices.

Exchange rates are updated with Fixer

Fixer is a free API for current and historical foreign exchange rates published by the European Central Bank.
The rates are updated daily around 4PM CET every working day.

although this one https://www.alphavantage.co/ could be better since it can provide the cryptocurrencies prices as well

Stock prices are updated with Morningstar.
and https://www.alphavantage.co/ is also providing stock prices


Perhaps same thing could be done with the desktop app?
