MMEX crashes on launch under Android 8.1

Does MMEX crash immediately upon launch for anyone else under Android 8.1? It worked fine with 8.0.

Yes it does. Seems to happen when MMEX is configured to synchronize against dropbox (for me, at least).
When I export the dropgox data.mmb and then use that file directly, MMEX seems to work fine.
When I then attempt to configure dropbox, it crashes and continues to crash...

Yes. Crashes on two different devices running 8.1. Background sync crashed on 8.0 on one device but worked other than that. I've tried the beta on 8.1 and that also crashes.
Would love to see a fix soon as it's used heavily in my household.

I can confirm. On Android 8.1 app crashing when sync is starting.
App is unusable for me now...
It's sad that programmers didn't fix it yet...

Yes I can confirm that. I have Nexus 5x with Android 8.1. MMEx crashing when trying to sync database.

It looks like cloud file handling is at least one cause for the crashes I've had. After uninstalling and reinstalling, it starts fine but crashes immediately when it starts downloading from Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive. I don't have a Box account to try.

The issue has apparently been fixed. You can confirm (and contribute) by testing the Beta version of the app.
You can also spend some of your spare time, learn a bit about Android and correct any issues you find. We accept pull requests on GitHub. Thank you.

Confirmed that the beta version doesn't crash with Google Drive sync. Looking forward to the fix being pushed to production.
