Hi
I can't edit or delete payees. All I get is a greyed out dialogue box. I've either reallocated or deleted all transactions on the relative payee so should be able to but still can't delete it. What am I doing wrong?

If you have deleted entries that include this payee, then you would definitely have to delete these entries.

the behavior you’re seeing is normal in Money Manager EX.

A payee cannot be edited or deleted as long as there is at least one transaction still referencing it, even if you believe those transactions were already removed. In many cases, the issue is caused by one or more transactions that are still active or deleted but not permanently removed.

I suggest the following steps:

- Open the transaction history (from the start database) and filter by that specific payee, so you can clearly see if any transaction is still linked to it.
- Scroll down in the Navigator and enable the view of deleted transactions.
- Select all deleted transactions related to that payee and click “Delete permanently”.
- By default, deleted transactions are kept in memory for 30 days.
- Also check for split transactions or transfers, which are easy to overlook.

Once no active or deleted transaction references that payee anymore, the edit/delete dialog will become available again.
