Automated Category and Payee

MMEX is a productive tool, I find it immensely useful. Thank you for all the contributors.

I am looking forward for this features:

By analyzing the Notes column, the system can identify similar transactions and suggest them when you enter a payee and category. This automates repetitive tasks, saving you valuable time.

The 'Derive category from payee' setting in Other options works for new transactions, but not when editing existing ones.

In the Payee definition screen, I find ability to assign a default category. Also, find matching possibility including notes. My question is does MMex expect payee column sent or it can find out from the description column itself?

So far, I think we don’t have such intelligent capacity yet.

If I may, I would like to suggest that when an entry in being created or edited, right below (or beside) the category field should be shown the "suggested category" as a link or button that will be the one most used so far for that payee. When clicked will replace whatever category is in the "category" field.

How does this sound to you?
