MMeX V 1.8.1. Linux Mint 21
Updated to this version several weeks ago as Flatpak from LM Money Manager.
An incorrect password given for an encrypted file.
I have been using MMeX for several years using the same password without problems.
I last used MMeX a few days ago (8/12/2024) and since then I have not changed anything on my system.
I have tried the .bak file (changing the suffix to .emb) without success.
What can I do now?

Re: Incorrect password
Thanks,
much of this is too complicated for me. I know nothing about mySQL, and as a user I shouldn't have to get into it.
Anyway I tried following the suggestion about reverting to 1.8.0 but cannot find how to do this in Linux.
Instead, by switching off Defender, I installed 1.8.0 on a Windows machine. It opened my .emb file and I saved it as an .mmb file.
This opened OK on 1.8.1 on my Linux machine, but saving it as an .emb file gave me:
SQL logic error[1]: Rekeying failed. Pagesize cannot be changed for an encrypted database.
Apparently I must change the page size but that is probably beyond my knowledge.
Is there any possibility that there will be a new version to correct this problem any time soon?

Re: Incorrect password
The correction is planned for version 1.9.0.
Please wait with the encryption until this version is available.

Re: [SOLVED] Incorrect password
It would help us a lot if you could also tell us which operating system and which MMEX version (desktop / portable) you are working with.
By the way: it is not advisable to attach yourself to a closed thread.
You will probably find more information about your problem here: https://github.com/moneymanagerex/money ... ssues/6971
If you cannot solve the problem yourself, you can send the .mmb / .emb (with PW) to info()mmex.ch and I will take care of it for you.
Of course I guarantee the confidentiality of your data.
