Edit conflicts

Post by SereneLandscape »

What action should I take differently when I notice backups and mmb files with edit conflicts? Is this common?

For example:
MyMMEX (# Edit conflict 2026-04-17 msmliaC #).mmb_update_2026-04-23.bak

My MMEX database and backup folder currently has a .mmb labeled with "edit conflict" as well as a weeks-old .mmb that is not labeled with "edit conflict."

In my family, I am the only user of MMEX and I use it only on a single Desktop. I do not use it on my phone. I have my MMEX database and backup folder configured to be synched into my Proton Drive cloud storage.

Thanks to a post from guangong, I see https://moneymanagerex.org/docs/features/usecloud/.

In MMEX, I have "Backup database on exit" selected.

Is there something I can change? Is there something I am missing, doing wrong, or should watch for?

I would store the database locally on your computer. There are issues with SQLite databases when using cloud storage.
Back up your data and PC periodically to an external storage device.
