Let's say that I bought something for $100 using a credit card with a category as "Shopping". I created a "Withdrawal" transaction for this.
I have set my Budget Planner with "Shopping" category limit as $100.
When I have to transfer $100 to the credit card from my bank account, I perform a "Transfer" transaction. At this point, I have to choose a category to do this transfer. Assume I used a category as "Transfer" for this.
Now, after settling the credit card payment, at the Budget Planner, I get to see 2 values of $100 for Actual column. One under Shopping and another under Transfer.
This gives duplicate counting of $100 against the actual expenses.
In this case, the budget is $100 but the actual expenses show up as $200. (Once each from withdrawal and transfer transaction)
How to resolve this?
Double counting in Budget Planner Categories
